Is it from the same creator?”.A: Yes. The lead developer of this game is also the creator of the LotV series.
This is the successor of the series.Q: 'I noticed that this game is tagged as an MMO, does that mean it’s P2W?.A: Not at all. Unlike other MMOs, there is no energy system that limits gameplay or super-uber special limited items. Feel free to play until your mouse breaks.Q:“But there’s premium currency.?”.A: Yes. Premium currency is how the developers make their living.
You can purchase diamonds to get things like cosmetic items, purchase extra inventory space, and other things. None of which will give a player an immediate advantage over another. FrozenTorch prides himself on keeping the game balanced and fun for all.Q: “How often is the game updated?”.A: FrozenTorch is generally on everyday fixing various bugs and stabilizing the game. Content updates are being planned for every two weeks or so.Q: 'I keep hearing about this other “client”. What’s that?' .A: That’s the game client that’s being hosted on the main site.
If you’re reading this, then you don’t need to worry about that.Q: “Can I transfer my data from one client to another?”.A: Not at this time.## Starting Out.Q:“Hi! I just started and want to know what’s the best class.”.A: There really is no best class. Every class has it’s pros and cons. The key is to build a solid team, not just focus on a single class.Q: “How do I reset my account?”.A: There currently is no way to reset your account. You can however change your party member’s name, appearance, class, attributes, and skills.
This can be done through the Party menu.Q: “How should I spend my attribute and skill points?”.A: However you want. There is no right or wrong way since you can always change it in the future. Generally though, STR = Warrior Damage/Rogue Damage, AGI = Speed/Rogue Damage, WIL = Stamina, MAG = Mage Damage, and CON = Health.Q: “Oh no! I’ve chosen a warrior and I don’t like warriors. Can I change this?”.A: Absolutely. This game allows you to change your character’s class, attributes, and skills for a small price of gold. Just click the Party button, select your character, and hit the Respecialize button.
The cost is -Your Level x 50 gold.Q: “I don’t like the way my character looks or my character’s name. Can I change that.”.A: Yep.
Your facial appearance, skin color, name, and etc can be changed by going to the Party screen and clicking Appearance. You can also purchase cosmetics from the Shop to change the way your armor looks.Q: “What’s the max level?”.A: Currently, the max level is 20.Q: “How many party members can I have?”.A: You have a total of four party members. You gain them at levels 1, 3, 5 and 10.Q: “What are Torch Codes, where do I get them, and how do I use them?”.A: Torch Codes are codes that FrozenTorch sends out to reward players. They can found on the Rise of Champions’s Facebook page, Twitter, and received via Torch Insider. All of which can be accessed through the Community button. To use the codes, just copy one, click the Community button, and paste the code into the bar at the top.Q: “Do items with +Damage%(X) enchantments only affect attacks with the same type?”.A: No. All +Damage% enchantments will increase your overall base damage.
This just means that your damage can be reduced with the proper counter resistance.Q: “What’s the highest rarity?”.A: You can find the item rarity list here(“How do I sell and salvage items?”.A: Click the Inventory button and drag the unwanted items to the sell or salvage box. There’s also a quick sell and salvage feature. Shift + Click = Quick Sell and Ctrl + Click = Quick Salvage. Note: Quick sell and salvage can’t be used on Supreme+ items.Q: “What are tickets used for and how do I get more?”.A: Tickets are used for starting an Event or Battle Arena.
You gain a free ticket every 4 hours, holding up to 4 free tickets at once. Tickets can also be gained through The Daily Wheel, Daily Reward, Progress Rewards, Torch Codes, and purchased in the shop.Q: “Events? Battle Arena? What’s that?”.A: Events are essentially the story of the game. The Battle Arena will pit you against 5 opponents with each victory increasing the reward.Q: “So which is better for the rewards?”.A: Event rewards is equivilent to a 4/5 win Battle Arena. The difference is that Events will always be against an NPC and you can lose as many times as you want.
The Battle Arena has a chance to pit you against an actual player and you only get 5 chances.Q: “Are the Event rewards different?”.A: Nope. All events give the same type of reward chest.Q: “How does Combat Mastery work?”.A: You can find everything you need to know about Combat Mastery here(.## About Crafting.Q: “What is essence used for?”.A: Essence is used for crafting and re-enchanting items.Q: “The Daily Task wants me to craft something. How do I craft?”.A: First you’ll need to purchase a “slotted” item from the shop.
Once purchased, head to the Crafting screen, pick what enchantments that you want, and hit the Craft button.Q: “Crafting seems pointless. Does it ever become useful?”.A: Absolutely! At level 17, you unlock “2-slotted” that can be used for crafting. This essentially allows you to craft Supreme items with the specifc enchantmants that you want.Q: “What does Re-Enchantment do?”.A: Re-Enchantment allows you to use essence to randomly change an item’s enchantments.
The cost is based on your level and the rarity of the item.Q: “I just found some gem shards. What are those for?”.A: Gem shards are used to craft gems, which is available at level 11.
Though you can start collecting the shards at level 10. They can be obtained from Single Matches, Battle Arenas, Events, Daily Wheel, Daily Reward, Progress Rewards, and Torch Codes.Q: “Gems? What do those do?”.A: Yes.
Gems are used to boost your gear. Though only one gem can be placed per equipment piece. The max gem level is level 10.Q: “Are gems permanent when attached?”.A: Nope. They can be freely placed and removed via the gem crafting window.## About Battles.Q: “How do I surrender?”.A: You can surrender by clicking the little white flag icon in the top-left corner of the battle screen.
Note that you will be forfeiting all the rewards gained from that battle if you surrender.Q: “This player’s mage is faster than my rogue! What is this sorcery?”.A: Agility and +Speed% gear are huge contributing factors when determining speed.
If you’re rogue is slower than a mage, then you need more agility and speed gear.Q: “What’s the difference between a PvP battle and an AI battle?”.A: PvP battles are against an actual live player. They can be more challenging but also yield better experience and rewards.
A PvP loss grants more experience than an AI win.Q: “Is it possible to avoid PvP entirely?”.A: Yes. There is an “AI only” button that can be used for single battles. The Battle Arena will still attempt to place you in a PvP match first though before giving you an AI option.Q: “What does my rating mean?”.A: Rating is used to determine how well you’re doing in PvP.
It’s also used to determine who you get matched up with in PvP. There are future plans to make more use out of it.Q: “What’s the difference between Burn, Poison, and Bleed?”.A: Bleed is a DoT(Damage over Time) for health. Poison is a DoT for Stamina. Burn is a damage modifier for future fire attacks.Q: “Do multiple skills stack?”.A: Different skills that have the same effects will stack. Two of the same skill will not stack and only resets the buff/debuff timer.
Example: Two Slash Faces won’t stack, but Slash Face and Intimidate will stack.## About Guilds.Q: “What are the benefits of joining a guild?”.A: Guilds can grant perks based on their levels. These perks include added bonuses such as damage or speed.Q: “How do I join a guild?”.A: You can start by posting your KongID in a guild recruitment thread on the forums or in the Kong chat. Your KongID is located in the bottom-left corner of the guild tab.Q: “How do I create my own guild?”.A: All you need is 25,000 gold. Click the Guild tab and select the guild creation button.Q: “What does contributing to my guild do?”.A: Contributions to a guild allows the guild leader to change the perks, change the emblem, and create new member slots. The current basic limit on contributions is 4,000 gold per day.Q: “Will there ever be more guild updates?”.A: Yes. There are currently plans for a Guild vs.
Guild game mode and more features for guild leaders.## About Keeps.Q: “I built an academy/blacksmith, but I can’t see it! What gives?”.A: Click and drag your screen.Q: “How much gold can my keep hold at once?”.A: Your keep can only hold up to two hours worth of collections by itself. It can hold more with a bank though. Your bank will increase the amount your keep can hold by one hour per bank level.Q: “Does my keep generate gold when I’m offline?”.A: Yes. However, it doesn’t automatically collect it. So make sure you log in to collect your gold.## Misc.
Questions.Q: Can a -insert rarity- item ever be better than an -insert higher rarity- item?.Rarity is determined by the combined levels of the base item and its enchantments. Certain lower rarity items may be more useful to you than certain high rarity items due to their magical enchantments being more relevant to your strategy. In the case of items with the same magical enchantments, the higher rarity item will always be stronger due to higher base item stats, stronger magical effects, or both.Q: “What does that chained button under the Daily Tasks do?”.A: Nothing. It’s just a placeholder button.Q: “What does the Plunder button do?”.A: Plunder is a chance to upgrade your rewards after a match. It has a 10% success rate. Your first plunder is always free.
Each additional attempt costs 1 diamond. Faq difference between agility and speed. Agility 6% boost speed not as much as high as pure speed however for rouges, the agility will boost agility base stat rather than just for speed allowing for more damage at the cost of less speed. I think this might help players a bit for crafting.Example40 base agility with 9% speed weapon.speed = 34with 12% agility from 2 pieces of gear 36 speedagility increased to 45with 18% speed from 2 pieces of gear 39 speedagility is still the same 40P.Sif you want meet to delete the wiki link post let me know. Ok so right now i’m very very confused. What is stamina? What is energy? What is mana?If mage use mana, why the game says he have stamina? Stamina is something entirely different than mana?I see a yellow bar what gos up, if it gos up my characters turn start.
Is that speed? Is stun actually reduce speed by a flat amount? How is that possible? How much is the number on that speed bar then? Because i don’t think thats a flat amount. I mean speed stat is a flat amount, but i see 99 stun on my Bludgeon skill, it looks a LOT, but when i actually use it i never can reduce a warrior speed bar to zero, so i don’t think that if a warrior have lets say 40 speed statt and this skill do 99 stun, that would be twice under zero and it reduce it like maybe 1/3 or even less? I just can’t connect these things together anyhow And again if an item has something like 5% stun on it and i do 100 damage that means 5 stun, but what “5 stun” is really doing? When burn/poison/bleed takes effect?
I don’t get it, not even a little bit. IS there a point when turns ends? Is these things takes effect after a character do an action or before?
IS that matter who those the action? What poison is really doing? I thought it decrease stamina(blue bar=energy/mana/whatever i don’t get it), that is the actual description of it, but every time i use my Toxic Bomb i see green numbers on every enemy but their blue bar stay exactly the same, if it was lets say 48, after i used Toxic Bomb it stays 48. So when poison applies? Not when i use it? When can i see that its effect my enemy if not when i use it?
Coz i didn’t saw any effect of it.If someone on my side dies, why the hell my enemy comes again? I mean thats just mean i die a lot faster, because he killd one of my ppl already and i can’t even do anything because he comes again for some unknown reason for me. Like i had 3 characters on the field left, the enemy Mage killd one and then attacked AGAIN. This really makes no sense for me at allAnother question where can i see or how much is the base energy/mana/stamina(again i don’t get it) regen? Because i think after some turns even if i use all of it i can use skills again without having this stat on any of my equipments, but the games says nowhere how much is my actual base regen stat. And if there is no such a stat exist as base regen its basically an important stat to have?
Or to have steal instead of it?Knowing these things is life and death question and this FAQ basically don’t mention anything from the really important things. The game stat guide doesn’t give enough information about anything and the attribute part of the wiki doesn’t even exists. I’m very much a new player, but this FAQ says nothing important at all. Dare I tackle that giant post here we go1. Stamina, energy, and mana are all the same.
Perhaps Stamina/mana was written because generally a warrior/rogue would use an energy in the form of ‘stamina’ while a mage would need mana. They are the blue bar above your characters head, based on willpower in the stat screen.2. The yellow bar is speed. The stun delays the turn obviously, it does not reduce the actual speed amount, just removes some of the speed bar based on how much stun you dealt. Warriors have 50% stun resist passive, and rogues 25% stun resist passive, so obviously it will be significantly harder to affect these classes with stun. The stun amount is not a direct number.
Not necessary to get too specific here, just know that stun is beneficial especially later, can be great on bow rogues with speed/stun gear for delaying enemy mage turns so that your own can go first and kill them. Bludgeon is pretty great too, strategical skill that can help you win alot of battles.3. Burn/poison/bleed/stamina regen/hp regen tick at a set interval in battle, based on time elapsed. You cannot influence when the interval ticks, it is a constant. Bleed/poison decrease in amount by 1/2 each tick. Burn decreases at a significantly slower rate.4.
Poison takes some time to tick as stated above. If you use a poison attack, or have%poison bonuses through gear/combat mastery, it is not an immediate reduction.
It will add the amount of poison, say 50, and then tick at its interval, halving to 25, then tick again at the next interval to 12, and 6, 3, 1, 0. Obviously the number will increase if you use more poison attacks. Yes, the stamina/mana/energy = blue bar.You can see all effects, positive and negative by scrolling over a character in-battle and clicking the buttons below the speed bar.5.
I’m not sure what you mean by ‘my enemy comes again.’ Are you expecting one of the opponent’s characters to stop attacking immediately once they kill one of your characters to keep an even amount of active players on each side? If so, imagine any war like that, it would be pure stupidity. If not, please clarify/rephrase your concern with more specifics.6. You can see stamina/hp regen in the party screen, by scrolling over your characters numeral stat information.
Place your cursor over the Health or Stamina numbers to view more details such as regen amounts. Stamina/HP steal are great. They are better than regen if you deal high damage often. Stamina stealing/Hp stealing is for offensive builds, where the more damage you’re dealing, the more you receive back in stamina/hp.
Regen helps to counter ‘poison’ and helps characters with higher stamina base stats, since its a% of your own maximum stamina/hp.7. This FAQ was written by an old veteran player who quit many many months ago before the more recent features came out. It is out dated, but still contains some useful information for new players. The wiki is not maintained or stressed obviously, however there is loads of information you can find on the kongregate forums in past/recent threads, in the chats, or on the riseofchampions.com forums page.
Speaking with players who are sitting nicely on the highscores / tournament boards who have the experience is your best bet.Hope this helped, good luck, if you have any more questions feel free to post here: http://www.kongregate.com/forums/2064-rise-of-champions/topics/474424-badge-hunters-welcome-to-rise-of-champions(http://www.kongregate.com/forums/2064-rise-of-champions/topics/474424-badge-hunters-welcome-to-rise-of-champions).
